Now that the spring is here we know summer is right behind it. With warm weather comes new shoes, new dresses, and new hair color. Since quarantine women and some men have been trying out different hues of pink hair.
Now that outside is officially open everyone will want to be out in the sun this summer. Pink is a happy color and it serves as a reminder of what we all need right now...FUN! Now is the perfect time to try out pink since many of us are still working from home, and the best part is it doesn't last that long.
Dyeing your hair pink comes with some work. For my darker-haired ladies, you would need to have your hair lightened to a pale yellow first and then add your preferred shade. Pink fades quickly but there are a few things you can do to extend the time.
Shampoo your hair less often
Use shampoo and conditioner for color-treated hair
Deep condition at every wash with a color depositing mask
Less heat styling - which is easier in summer since we tend to do more wash & go styling.
If you don't want to commit to actually coloring your hair you can try temporary styles like braids or crochet.
